I’ve always sewn. I used to sew penguin finger puppets that I kept in the freezer when I was little (obviously irritating for other freezer-users). I embroidered portraits of my housemates when we left university (some liked them more than others). I sewed the names of all the guests at my wedding on their napkins (which, only finishing the night before, I came to regret).

After years of making things by hand, I noticed some things. Like, people really love receiving something you've made. Or, people often seem convinced that they’re not ‘creative’, when really they are.

Tall Sky Sewing was born from these things. I wanted to create embroidery kits that are modern, bold, and a little weird, and show that creating something handmade for yourself or someone else doesn’t have to be intimidating or too time-consuming. Every kit is designed to be beautiful and achievable. With only six simple stitches, you can create something meaningful. Because everyone deserves the thrill of starting a new project.
